In the Winter of 2008 Liam Kennedy was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 33. His friends and family were stunned but determined to do all they could to show their support and encouragement. Liam has dedicated so much of his life to helping others that they knew they had to do something in return to help him and the millions of others suffering from MS. That is when “Liam’s Lucky Charms” was formed…

That year, Liam and 15 of his friends and family members participated in the Bike MS Cape Cod Getaway and rode 150 miles from Boston to Provincetown in two days. They were certainly not the most fit crew and many would compare them to the Bad News Bears of the cycling world but they had the most fun and were one of the top 7 fund raising teams and yet one of the smallest teams. All agreed it was the most memorable and gratifying two days they had ever experienced.

The team has continued to grow; last year, Liam’s team grew to over 180 riders! Bringing the total amount raised to date to over $4,000,000.
